Thursday - Elder

I could tell you today how hard me, Bobby and Josh(Georgia) worked putting in a stove this morning. It was great and the woman who owned the "house" had such a heart breaking story and prayed the most awesome prayer.

Or I could give details about our VBS that was partially rained out but we still had fun with the kids.

But what is on my mind is Elder.
He is the 13 year old at the feeding center that has stole my heart.
He has 3 younger brother and sisters. Whenever we give candy or goodies away he is always certain to get enough for his siblings. I learned that his dad was killed in an accident a few years ago.  We put a stove in their home on Tuesday and I seen his living conditions.
That makes my heart hurt for him even more.

When he looks at me it is not like the other kids. He is always glad to see me but I can tell he would like to have deeper conversations than we can communicate with our language barrier. He is the man of the home at such an early age.

Only one year younger than Austin, but this boy has trials that my boy will not be able to imagine. Cindy asked if I was bringing him home, and I said only in my heart. I hope we can sponsor his family when I get home.
