It is hard to keep up with this blog because I am so tired at night. It has been hot and rains around 4:00 but too late to cool it down when needed.
Yesterday we put in our first stove. This lady lost her husband to an accident and had 4 kids from a baby to about 10 years old. Her house was 2 rooms made of tin and bamboo that were about 12x12 each. The "bedroom" had two matresses, a palet that she made table runners, and one curio for clothes. I saw no toys or books for her kids.
The kitchen had about 4 pots and a fire pit. No water or bathroom did I see. The kitchen had black soot covering the tin ceiling.
The stove stood out as such a new and clean item in this place.

Today I saw her kids in the feeding center. They were attracted to me before we realized who each other were. The oldest brother who is about 12 I would guess is very protective of his brother and sister. He will take anything you give him, but really starves for attention as all the kids do.
Wednesday we put in another stove into a house I cannot begin to describe. It had a metal road front, then three rooms with doors on them, her garden, chicken coops and then the kitchen. Her daughter's name was lady and I got to talk to her about Jesus. She was a Christian and we had a good conversation about the love of Jesus!
We have made great Strides on the feeding center. This will be something that kids who have very little will be able come to a warm inviting place and feel the love of Jesus!
